Jonas Mago: Presence and Consciousness in Theory and Practice

About today's guest: Jonas Mago is am a certified Unified Mindfulness meditation coach with a deep fascination for the science and mathematics of consciousness and wellbeing. His work bridges the gap between scientific inquiry, practices of the body and mind, and the wisdom of ancient traditions.

Rooted in lineages such as Buddhism and Christian prayer, Jonas find inspiration in exploring how contemplative practices across traditions offer pathways to profound states of consciousness and flourishing.

In his academic work, Jonas is pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University, where he studies how contemplative practices enable the brain, body, and mind to access new states of consciousness. His research focuses on how these states support holistic wellbeing and transformation, weaving together insights from neurobiology, cognitive science, and phenomenology.

Jonas' personal contemplative practice is deeply influenced by the teachings of Culadasa (John Yates), Rob Burbea, and Michael Taft, as well as his training under Shinzen Young, who certified him as a meditation coach. He currently offers one-on-one coaching sessions, guiding individuals in exploring the many dimensions of consciousness and cultivating a life of clarity and purpose.
